Field Manager
Reports to: Regional Manager / Division Operations Manager Status: Exempt
Position Summary: Primary responsibilities are educating and ensuring compliance with company policy,
procedures in sales, marketing, systems, collections, occupancy, community maintenance, staff and resident
relations, and expense control for Communities within the region. Occasionally, brief coverage of a
community within a region may be required.
Essential Functions:
? Educate new and existing region employees based upon input from management
? Develop consistency in region including employee meetings, lease and sales process, filing,
collections, onboarding, advertising, refurb, etc.
? Provide on-going peer support to region employees in order meeting community and region goals.
? Monitor and track progress of region employees on system and procedures covered.
? Role play resident, prospect and vendor scenarios with other region members to promote confidence
and handling of situation.
? Utilize Peer Coach materials to further educate new and existing region employees
? Attend on-going company education seminars and develop an expert proficiency on all new company
policy and procedures
? Share updates on policy and procedures at region meetings and on region conference calls
? Create and maintain a positive Community environment including resident activities
? Communicate and manage policies and procedures
? Create and ensure a safe work environment
? Protect and maintain Company assets
? Work one-on-one or in small groups with new Community Manager, Sales and Leasing Agents, Office
Admin and Maintenance Staff as they come on-board to educate on company policies and procedures.
? Maintain professional behavior which does not interfere with the individual’s work, the work of
another Team Member, or the quality of life for Community Residents
? Duties subject to change, as deemed appropriate by Management
? Position requires 50-75% travel within the division - locally and overnight
Required Skills:
? Excellent oral and written communication skills
? Must be self-motivated, independent and able to work with minimal supervision
? Strong leadership, computer and decision making skills
? Demonstrated ability to motivate and support staff performance
? Patience and creativity are helpful
Education and Experience:
? High School Diploma or equivalent
? 4 years’ experience in property management
